11 years after the launch of the Casablanca I in 1996 and its successors in form of the Casablanca II series of machines Claro, Avio, Kron, Prestige und Solitaire, comes the third generation range of editors: The S-range, a move towards a new, advanced and future-orientated hardware platform.

The Casablanca S-4000 and S-4000 Pro, scheduled for a release winter 2007, are the two top machines, designed to be the successors to the successful Renommee and Solitaire (and their predecessors Prestige and Kron).

The Casablanca S-4000 and S-4000 Pro are capable of editing both DV- and analogue footage, but on top of that, even HD video in HDV and AVCHD* standards. The wide range of connection possibilities found in these units is unique and in the field of video editors, almost without competition.

When editing HD video, a suitable monitor can be used to see the edited footage in full resolution. In this fashion, you have total control over all editing work done.

Modern processor technology paves the way for an enormous rendering pace, surpassing earlier Casablanca devices by far.

The top range machine S-4000 Pro is particularly suitable for HD editing, with almost no waiting intervals. In addition, rendering times for the “classic“ DV
standard is reduced to a minimum.

Extremely large hard-drives with a capacity of 500 GB up to a Terabyte provide enough storage space for even the largest of projects.

Finished video films can be output via the available (and for every standard suitable) ports and connections or burned to DVD or even with the optional Blu-ay burner.

Of course, these elegant S-range devices are one again “Made in Germany“.

Despite the above specifications, the “Whisper Edit 2“ cooling concept allows for an absolutely low-noise operation – relaxed editing sessions are the result.

Equipped with the upcoming Smart Edit 7 editing software and DVD-Arabesk 4, all S-range systems come with the necessary tools for comfortable video editing work.
