As of Version 2.0, Casablanca SMART EDIT is not just available for the Casablanca Prestige but also for the established Casablanca Systems Avio and Kron. Now, both Avio and Kron customers can make use of the efficiency and the innovative improvements of the software which were already introduced with Casablanca Prestige.
The newly designed user interface enables easier and more intuitive video editing work - yet the system still implements the trusted classic Casablanca menus. With the many new sensational functions, you will be able to edit your video faster and more creatively than ever before:

• New modern design of the graphical user interface (gui)
• Improved quality of the scene clip icons (higher resolution)
• Fast scene function (faster than real time) in DV-Direct Mode  1)
• More flexible colour of patterns and improved Imagepool
• Recognition of the producer of the player (when DV source is connected)  2)
• Audio can be recorded from the 2. track of a DV-camera with 12 bit audio  2)
• Extended Auto-Split function for digital video material: Once finished video has been recorded to DV tape, the original scenes can be recovered when loaded onto Casablanca  1)
• Graphical representation of the volume levels in the audio-mix screen

• Timeline-display

All available add-on products for Casablanca Avio and Kron are compatible with SMART EDIT. The Update contains a completely new manual and a SmartMedia-Card holding the software.

Some important new features:

Better quality of the scene clip icons.
The active scene frame will be displayed in a magnified form.

Audio- Tracks can be loaded from a CD -
up to 12 times faster than real time. 3)

You can create your own colour wipes and
backgrounds with many settings (Imagepool).

Representation of the volume:
Each volume change in a track will also be shown graphically.

The timeline-view offers an alternative overview
in the audio-mix area.

Volume levels are displayed during playback
(with peak-hold).

You can fine-tune bass and trebles of analogue
track recording with the tone control feature.
(only available for Prestige)

Additionally, the titler has many new functions
(3d, italic, variable shadows and frames, preview,...).
