DVD-Arabesk 4

Installation:
DVD Arabesk 4 can be installed in "Demo" mode. All functions of the software are usable and can be tested. Merely burning a DVD is not possible.
Additionally, the capacity on the hard-drive for "virtual adding" of films is limited.

Important note:
If you delete the demo version of Arabesk 4, and do not install another version of Arabesk 4 again, Casablanca may not start correctly. Install the Smart Edit software as an update to enable Casablanca to boot again. Now install your previous Arabesk version.

Question: I have selected moving/animated chapter images (stamps/buttons). When rendering or burning the DVD, they are however not moving.
Answer: If you select a static background (pattern, colour, still), the stamps will similarly not be animated. Choose "Scene" for the background and change the "Type" to "Moving". Now add a (for example) ten second scene to get the stamps to animate in a 10 second loop.

Question: I have burned an HDV film to DVD. The film is being played "squashed" in 4:3 mode by my DVD player.
Answer: Install Smart Edit 6.2 (or higher) and add the film again. This correctly burns the film with a 16:9 tag so that your TV screen can display it in full size and 16:9 ratio.

Question: I have burned a film in 16:9 format with a menu in 16:9 on a DVD. When watching the film on a 4:3 format screen, the markings in the menu are slightly misaligned.
Answer: This can currently occur in this specific constellation on some DVD players if you activate the Letterbox output for 4:3 use. The problem does not occur on a 16:9 format screen.

Question: My DVDs are burned very slowly. Why is that?
Answer: In the Settings menu of Arabesk 4, you can set the burning speed. Make sure to select "max" to allow for the maximum possible burning speed. The speed depends on the DVD disc type used, the burner type, Casablanca model and the Firmware of the installed burner.

Question: I have purchased a DVD disc which is seemingly not supported. How do I know which discs are supported by my system?
Answer: In the Settings menu of Arabesk 4, you can check in the "Supported Media:" panel which medium types are supported. This depends on the DVD writer type you are using.
