The Alcatraz MK2 Recorder is a digital recorder with excellent picture quality and a wide array of functions. The implementation of the MPEG-2 video compression technology, in combination with event controlled recording, makes Alcatraz the new standard. The Alcatraz digital recorder can basically be installed in two fields of usage:

• In single channel mode, it gives you excellent picture quality with 50/60 fields per second in full PAL/NTSC resolution.
• In conjunction with multiplexers, the Alcatraz digital recorder supports a wide range of other manufacturers’ multiplexers, making it easy to add the recorder to a given system or to set up a totally new multiple-channel system.
